It’s no secret that I love my snacks between meals. Not only do I love that snacks provide me with a boost of energy, but I’m convinced the people around me also appreciate it—goodbye hanger! Among the staple items in my snack repertoire are Pazazz apples.
While I’m generally not picky about most foods, I am a bit particular when it comes to my apples. A descendent of the Honeycrisp family, Pazazz apples provide the perfect blend of of sweet and tart flavors in every crunch. While I normally think of apples being in their peek ripeness in the fall (cue the cute pictures on Instagram posed at apple orchards), Pazazz is a bit different. Instead, these apples are harvested in late fall but don’t reach their peak ripeness until January to April—which is good news for me because my cravings for apples don’t just exist isolated in the fall!
When I’m planning ahead for snacks that may sound good to me, I don’t like to make too much of a fuss in the kitchen. Too many ingredients in any kind of recipe is a big turnoff for me. Many of the clients can relate, which is why I am sharing 3 of my go-to ways to incorporate Pazazz apples into your daily snacks.
We can hardly talk about apples without thinking of caramel apples. While I would probably have a stomachache if I ate a caramel apple every single day, I like to get the same flavor combination by making a simple caramel yogurt dip. When approaching snacks, I try to incorporate carbs with fiber and protein. (Added bonus if I can get some nutritious fats in there too!) This snack fits the bill as Pazazz apples are filled with 5 grams of fiber and the yogurt provides a good source of protein and fat. With American Heart Month quickly approaching, incorporating apples into your routine is a nice preventative way to meet your fiber needs. (Also great for your digestive health!)

Caramel Yogurt Dip with Pazazz Apples
Ingredients
- 1 sliced Pazazz Apple
- 1 container (5.3 oz) Icelandic or Greek Yogurt, Vanilla (I prefer full-fat yogurt for added creaminess)
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp light brown sugar
- cinnamon, to taste
Instructions
- Combine yogurt, honey, brown sugar and cinnamon either in yogurt container or a separate bowl. Slice the Pazazz Apples for convenient dipping. Enjoy!
Another snack favorite of mine is smothering an apple with peanut butter. To make the snack a bit more interesting, I like to make the apples into a sweet take on nachos.
While my personal recipe calls for peanut butter, chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts, you can play around with the toppings to fit your flavor preferences.Â

Pazazz Apple Nachos
Ingredients
- 1 sliced Pazazz Apple
- 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1 tbsp chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Slice Pazazz apple into slices of desired thickness. Arrange on plate.
- Microwave peanut butter for 30 seconds. Drizzle peanut butter over apples.
- Sprinkle chopped walnuts and mini chocolate chips over apples and peanut butter.
- Enjoy!
My final go-to snack requires no prep at all. (Can I get an AMEN?!?) Sometimes I prefer to not have anything slathered on my delicious Pazazz apples but still want a balance of macronutrients. In those instances, I throw in a string cheese to eat alongside my apple. This is probably my most common snack that I throw into my lunch box during a busy week.
